CareerFest 2009 Summary

The success and value of CareerFest is evidenced by its continuous growth. Forty-six Ohio-based employers attended the first year in 2002. CareerFest 2009, held at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus, registered 104 employers.

The employers - businesses, corporations, non-profit groups, and government agencies - and 1,100 students came from all over Ohio to discuss permanent employment and internship opportunities. Participating recruiters rated this as one of the best events they attend all year. Many employers and students are engaged in follow-up interviews.

'If you're looking for high quality candidates who are professional and eager then the OFIC CareerFest is the place to be. Always an excellent turnout."

"Most comprehensive & diverse career fair we attend!"

"This was one of, if not the best career fair we've attended. The students were prepared to talk about their skills and interests. We walked away with dozens of qualified candidates for internships."

"We have been to CareerFest three years in a row, and we are looking forward to joining you again in 2010! The students are highly qualified and well prepared."
