
David L. Belew, Hamilton,
Receives the Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award from
The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges

David L. Belew of Hamilton was presented the Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award at The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) annual Evening of Excellence. He is the retired Chairman & CEO of the Beckett Paper Company.
“Dave has served OFIC as a trustee from 1988 to the present and also serves on the Marketing Committee, offering his considerable experience in business and public relations. He has been a generous and faithful volunteer to OFIC’s campaign and mission since 1987 and is currently the Middletown/Hamilton Campaign Chair. His dedication and commitment to our students has never wavered”, stated Jeffrey S. Wolf, President of OFIC.
Mr. Belew has given of his time and expertise to numerous causes and organizations, including the Cincinnati Fine Arts Fund, National Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Hamilton County Foundation, Open Door Pantry, and Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra, to name just a few.
His many awards include Hamilton’s “I CARE” Award for community service, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Award for Distinguished Service and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and the Hamilton Journal News.
Mr. Belew and his wife Margery reside in Hamilton and have
a son, a daughter and six grandchildren with whom they share their numerous
activities, particularly piano and tennis.
