New Trustees Elected to the Board
The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges


Robert G. Merzweiler, President & CEO of Landmark Plastic Corporation, Akron, and Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) announced several new elected trustees at OFIC’s annual meeting in Columbus.

New Members elected to the OFIC Board of Trustees:

Tim Alter, President, Rudolph/Libbe Companies Inc., Toledo
Rudolph/Libbe is a general contractor offering design/build options and construction management services. Tim Alter has been with Rudolph/Libbe since 1983 and President since 1998.

Joseph A. Chlapaty, CEO, Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc., Columbus
Advanced Drainage Systems is the world’s largest manufacturer of polyethylene drainage products. Joe Chlapaty, the company CEO, is the current chair of OFIC’s Columbus area campaign. He has been with Advanced Drainage Systems since 1980 and was named Chief Executive Officer in 2004

Todd F. Clossin, President & CEO, Fifth Third Bank Northeastern Ohio, Cleveland
Prior to assuming his present position at Fifth Third Bank Northeastern Ohio, Clossin served as President & CEO of Fifth Third Bank, N.A. (Tennessee). Todd is a graduate of Mount Union College.

Floyd V. Jones, Senior V. P., External Affairs, The Dispatch Printing Company, Columbus
The Columbus Dispatch is a major metropolitan newspaper in Ohio’s capital city published daily by The Dispatch Printing Company. Jones is a graduate of Franklin University.

Lee A. Lemke, Senior V. P., Business Banking Administration, Huntington Bank, Columbus
Huntington Bancshares Incorporated is a $32 billion regional bank holding company headquartered in Columbus. Lemke joined Huntington in February 2002 and was named Senior Vice President, Business Banking Group Head in August 2002. He graduated from Ohio Northern University and the University of Dayton.

Jordan A. Miller, Jr., Senior Vice President and Director of the Investment Adviser Group, Fifth
Third Bank, Cincinnati

Miller is responsible for the distribution and servicing of Private Client Services to individuals in the Greater Cincinnati market place. He joined Fifth Third in December of 1998 and has over 25 years of financial services experience.

Dominic L. Ozanne, President and CEO, Ozanne Construction Company, Inc., Cleveland
The Ozanne Construction Company is one of Northeast Ohio's oldest and most established construction companies. Dominic received his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and a B.S./B.A. from Boston University, School of Management.

Douglas V. Sweeney, President, Sweeney Chevrolet, Youngstown and Vice President, Youngstown Buick-Pontiac-GMC Truck Company, Boardman
Youngstown Buick is the largest General Motors dealership in Ohio and a 2002 recipient of the GM Chairman’s Award. In addition to being President of Sweeney Chevrolet and Vice President of Youngstown Buick-Pontiac-GMC Truck Company Doug is also a partner in King Collision LLC of Boardman.

Deepak Vaidya, President and CEO, Techni Graphic Systems, Inc., Wooster
Dee and his wife started Techni Graphic Systems (TGS) out of their family home in 1993.
In 1994 they acquired TGS Technology division of Johnson Controls, a federal contractor for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and map digitizing.

OFIC, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, is the primary corporate and foundation solicitation organization for 35 independent Ohio colleges and universities. OFIC member colleges collectively enroll more than 94,000 students and award one-third of all bachelor’s degrees in the state. For 55 years The Foundation has worked to highlight the leadership, value and excellence of independent higher education. Through contributions raised in annual solicitations of businesses and foundations OFIC has provided unrestricted operating funds and scholarship assistance, thereby assuring continuation of excellence in independent higher education. OFIC is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of Ohio’s corporate leaders, as well as presidents of the 35 member colleges.

The member colleges are: Antioch College, Ashland University, Baldwin-Wallace College, Bluffton University, Capital University, Cedarville University, University of Dayton, Defiance College, Denison University, The University of Findlay, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Franklin University, Heidelberg College, Hiram College, John Carroll University, Kenyon College, Lake Erie College, Lourdes College, Malone College, Marietta College, Mount Union College, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Muskingum College, Notre Dame College, Oberlin College, Ohio Dominican University, Ohio Northern University, Ohio Wesleyan University, Otterbein College, Urbana University, Ursuline College, Walsh University, Wilmington College, Wittenberg University and The College of Wooster.
