AT&T, A LONGTIME SUPPORTER OF THE OHIO FOUNDATION OF INDEPENDENT COLLEGES (OFIC), PRESENTS SIX (6) $10,000 GRANTS FOR FACULTY DEVELOPMENT

Through funding from AT&T, The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) has awarded grants to six of its member colleges and universities to support projects aimed at enhancing faculty capability to use technology in the delivery of learning.

Capital University, Marietta College, Mount Union College, Ohio Dominican University, Ohio Northern University and Otterbein College all received $10,000 for their proposed projects.   Projects involve development of faculty skills in podcasting as a teaching strategy, training of faculty in building and teaching from online courses, and increasing faculty ability to use online portfolio systems and Smartboard technology.

AT&T, in addition to providing grant funding to support faculty development, has also partnered with OFIC for many years in its mission to provide access to higher education for Ohio’s students.
