AT&T Sponsors OFIC Diversity Forum at Capital University
The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) will host a “Forum on Diversity” sponsored by AT&T on Friday, October 20, 2006 at Capital University in the Harry C. Moores Campus Center multipurpose room. The Forum is called “A Treasure Hunt – Dialogues on Discovering Talents, Transferable Skills and Tenacity in Today’s Students”. Forum activities will focus on identifying, recruiting and assimilating undergraduate minority students to the workplace and how colleges can best prepare these students for a successful transition and acclimation.
Corporate diversity managers and personnel recruiters, along with campus multicultural affairs directors, career services directors, and other employees involved in diversity issues will participate in roundtable discussions and enjoy panel presentations, including a presentation by students from Ashland and Capital Universities.
Sandra Willis Moody, founder of Dehan Enterprises Insurance & Financial Services Agency and Adjunct Professor of Finance and Risk Management at Franklin University will be the luncheon speaker.
OFIC holds these forums periodically as part of its ongoing diversity initiative. They have been extremely well received and provide an opportunity for corporate supporters and campus personnel to discuss important issues of diversity and inclusion both in the corporate sector and on college campuses.
If you would like to know more about these forums or would like an interview with our luncheon speaker, please join us at noon and ask to speak with Joanne Moriarty, or call 614-469-1950 ext. 105.
