OFIC COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Non-Exempt Hourly Position Description
We seek a junior or senior college student, or recent graduate to join our team and participate in leadership meetings regarding marketing and communication strategies with both staff and OFIC board members. OFIC provides a supportive environment of learning, experiences and direction, allowing the intern to hone skills and impact the work of OFIC. This is a paid internship, with connected parking deck pass or COTA bus pass included. The length of the internship is one semester, with the possibility of extension to Spring semester and Summer. Who We Are
The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) connects students attending our member campuses with Corporate Ohio, and beyond. We do so by helping to make career connections and creating student scholarships funded by Ohio corporations and foundations. Our approach is personal and life changing— connecting students with donors and empowering donors to design scholarships that have a direct impact on Ohio students, their local community and their future employees.
1) Assist with the development concepts and designs for invitations, strategy and creative related to LinkedIn organic and paid advertising, web content, board of trustees update emails, promotional emails to corporate Ohio, and event program collateral.
2) Implement the design process through completion and prepare final layout for a variety of advertising, marketing, digital, public relations, and social media creative projects.
3) Possess a good understanding of current trends in graphic design and a strong understanding of the digital marketing channels, especially via LinkedIn.
4) Present ideas to fellow OFIC team members to share digital trends gain insight and further direction to contribute to an atmosphere of helpfulness and cooperation with internal and external audiences.
