Summer 2026 OFIC Internship Spotlight
At the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC), internships are a core part of how students gain meaningful, real-world experience while still in school. These opportunities connect students with hands-on work across communications, data, marketing, and talent development, while also supporting OFIC’s mission and programs.
We’re excited to spotlight OFIC’s summer interns:
Djami Dikate
Djami Dikate, a Business Marketing major from Capital University designing digital graphics and marketing materials to support Talent and other OFIC divisions, developing social media content to engage students, and redesigning materials for branding consistency.
Nikayla Henderson
Nikayla Henderson, an Accounting major attending John Carroll University, is the Philanthropy Intern who supports donor history research and Salesforce data entry and cleanup.
Lexi Scott
Lexi Scott, a Communications major with a Marketing minor attending Otterbein University, is the Talent Intern who helps create our monthly career services newsletter “The OFIC Insider.” She is also supporting events and social media content development.
Kris Shields
Kris Shields, an Accounting major attending Ohio Northern University, is the OFIC Data Management Intern and will support the OFIC scholarship team this summer thanks to funding from the Department of Development College Technology Internship Program.
Lucy Tarpy
Lucy Tarpy, a Communications major attending Denison University, is a Marketing Micro-Intern thanks to a Denison-funded summer micro-intern program for first- and second-year students in partnership with Parker Dewey.
Internships like these reflect OFIC’s broader commitment to providing students with career-building experience through meaningful, hands-on roles that strengthen both their skills and professional confidence.
