What are the criteria for eligibility?

A.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Applicant must be an Ohio resident and a US citizen

  • Full-time student during the full 2017/2018 academic year

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA 

  • Majors: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology.

  • Applicant must submit a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and qualify for need based financial aid.

  • Sophomore, Junior, and Senior grade level

  • Must be attending an OFIC member college or university.

How do I apply?

A.

Follow the online application link at the top left of this page.  The online application requires you to create a free account with your name and email address.  You will have the ability to save progress, log in to complete your application at another time, and to reapply next year.

 

Q.

Is applying online safe?

A.

Yes. Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only OFIC authorized employees and agents (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. To protect the information being gathered, the scholarship application site has security measures in place including firewalls, encryption, and authenticated access to internal databases where needed.

 

Q.

How do you decide who will receive the awards?

A.

Scholarship recipients will be verified to be eligible for the scholarship, then eligible applicants will be rated and selected by a scholarship committee. 

 

Q.

How and when will students be notified of decisions?

A.

All applicants will be notified of the final results at the end of July 2017.

 

Q.

How and when will the awards be paid?

A.

Award funds will be distributed directly to the scholars' institutions at the end of June 2017.

 

Q.

Are these scholarships automatically renewed?

A.

No, scholars must reapply for consideration each year.
