Doosan Bobcat Environmental Preservation Grant Program

The company is offering grants to organizations in communities where it has operating plants or offices for restoration, beautification, and/or enhancement activities. Bobcat Company anticipates awarding up to $50,000 total annually across both tiers. The number of grants in each tier will depend on the volume and quality of applications.

Organizations may apply for only one grant per cycle but may reapply in future years. 

Grant Tiers and Eligible Projects

We offer two grant tiers to support a variety of restoration, beautification, and/or enhancement activities. Projects must be shovel-ready restoration, beautification, and/or enhancement activities that can be completed before December 31, 2026.

Projects can include one or more of the following:  

  • Building or support of trails  

  • Native plantings and pollinator habitat  

  • Green stormwater infrastructure 

  • Riparian zones 

  • Other park projects to support native habitat restoration, climate readiness, and equitable access to parks and recreation. 

  • Preference will be given to projects that demonstrate long-term sustainability and impact. This includes initiatives designed to deliver lasting environmental benefits beyond the initial grant period, as well as previously funded projects seeking to expand or complete additional phases based on proven results.  

Tier 1 

  • Amount: Up to $5,000 

  • Eligible Projects: Small-scale, hands-on initiatives that engage local communities and support parks and recreation in environmental preservation efforts. Examples include:  

  • Tree planting or native vegetation restoration 

  • Community clean-up events or waste reduction campaigns 

  • Creation or maintenance of pollinator gardens

  • Environmental education programs or interpretive activities for park visitors (e.g., guided nature walks, workshops, or outreach programs)

  • Timeline: Projects must be completed within the same calendar year they are awarded. 

Tier 2 

  • Amount: Up to $20,000 

  • Eligible Projects: Medium-scale efforts that strengthen environmental preservation through purchase of resources or equipment. Examples include:   

  • Tools or kits for habitat restoration (e.g., invasive species removal, erosion control, etc.) 

  • Rainwater collection systems, composting setups, or recycling station installations

  • Development or expansion of outdoor classrooms, nature trails, or interpretive signage for environmental education

  • Bobcat Equipment: Grant funds can be applied toward the purchase of Bobcat machines or attachments only, to support conservation, restoration, or sustainability projects

  • Timeline: Equipment or materials must be purchased and used within the same calendar year the grant is awarded.  

Who Can Apply?

Organizations must be recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by the IRS. In some cases, grants may also be awarded to government entities (such as city, county, or state parks and recreation departments) when funds are used strictly for public purposes. 

  • Parks and recreation agencies must fall within a 100-mile drive of the following cities:  

  • Sahuarita, AZ 

  • Aurora, CO 

  • Buford, GA 

  • Litchfield, MN 

  • Minneapolis, MN 

  • Rogers, MN 

  • Statesville, NC 

  • Bismarck, ND 

  • Fargo, ND 

  • Gwinner, ND 

  • Wahpeton, ND 

  • West Fargo, ND 

  • Johnson Creek, WI 

  • Monterrey, MX 

What is not supported by this grant? 

Grants will not fund the following: 

  • Salaries or general operating expenses. 

  • Fundraising events, galas, or sponsorships. 

  • Lobbying or political activities. 

  • Projects outside the designated geographies. 

  • Ongoing maintenance costs or activities that provide primarily private benefit. 

  • Non-Bobcat equipment. Grant funds may only be used for Bobcat® equipment or approved attachments and may not be used to purchase competitor or third-party equipment.

Application Process

Grant applications will open on January 23rd, 2026 and close on February 28th, 2026. Applicants must submit: 

  • Completed application form. 

  • Project description, timeline, and budget. 

  • Documentation of nonprofit or government status (e.g., IRS determination letter). 

  • Copy of a Organization's Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification Form (IRS Form W-9).

  • Evidence of community engagement (e.g., master plan inclusion, public meeting notes, or CBO letters of support). 

Applications will be reviewed by the Bobcat Company using a scoring framework that considers: project feasibility, community benefit, alignment with Bobcat values, and long-term impact.. If you have any questions, please contact scholarships@ofic.org.

Notification of Awards

Grant recipients will be notified in March 2026. All awardees will be required to:  

  • Provide Bobcat with a short project summary and high-resolution images for use in communications. 

  • Recognize Bobcat’s support in public materials related to the project (e.g., signage, press releases, social media posts).
