The Ashland University Campus Store is experiencing a surge in business after an AU T-shirt was spotted on the hit show "Ted Lasso." When viewers noticed journalist Trent Crimm wearing the shirt, the store's director, Amanda Brown, quickly added it to their online store with the slogan "as seen on Ted Lasso." Orders started pouring in, and within two weeks, they processed over 500 orders shipped across the United States and even to New Zealand. The shirt's design, originally created in 2017, caught the eye of the show's costume designer, generating buzz for the university and its beloved shirt.

Baldwin Wallace University is leading a consortium of 15 Ohio colleges and universities to increase recruitment and graduation rates in computer science and related fields. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has granted $2 million for the five-year project called "Ohio Pathways to Undergraduate Computing Success." The consortium's objectives are to enhance community college connections, support underrepresented students, establish industry partnerships, and develop shared degree requirements.

Bluffton University has received $25,000 in funding from Cenovus Energy to support the removal of invasive species at the Bluffton University Nature Preserve. Led by Dr. Ben Dolan, the project aims to protect the natural habitat and local watershed in northwest Ohio. The removal work will be conducted by Dr. Dolan and a hired firm from summer to fall 2023, with a focus on the preserve entrance and Augsburger Road. The 160-acre preserve features woodland, grassland trails and diverse wildlife habitats.

The IMG Academy vs. Bishop Sycamore high school football game in August 2021 turned into a scandal, exposing the questionable nature of Bishop Sycamore. Former Capital University students Ben Ferree and Andrew King had already uncovered the truth about the illegitimacy of the school, formerly Christians of Faith Academy. Despite their initial efforts, the story gained traction when King pitched it to ThisWeek. The scandal gained international attention, leading to the creation of a documentary titled "BS High" and a book called "Friday Night Lies," examining exploitation and the importance of community awareness.

Cedarville University has awarded the inaugural George Huff Social Work Scholarship to five deserving students in spring 2023. The scholarship, established by anonymous donors to honor Professor George Huff's 23 years of service, is the largest in the university's history, amounting to $250,000. Each recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship based on financial need. The scholarship supports students pursuing a social work major, reflecting the integration of faith and practice that Huff embodies. Makayla Lingerfelt, one of the recipients, expressed gratitude for the timely assistance and the reminder of God's faithfulness.

Tyler Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Defiance College on May 13, 2023, three weeks prior to receiving his high school diploma from Defiance High School. He took full advantage of Ohio's College Credit Plus program, attending college full-time starting in his sophomore year of high school. Tyler's accomplishments, recognized by Ohio Higher Education Chancellor Randy Gardner and Dr. Agnes Caldwell, showcase the value of the CCP program. Throughout his college years, Tyler actively engaged in campus life, including being a member and captain of the eSports team, while also enjoying traditional high school experiences.
