Inspiration
We take inspiration from our students and our 31 independent campuses
OFIC is committed to promoting diversity through our fundraising efforts and programs. Through our role as a connector, we work to invite our funding partners, 31-member independent colleges and universities, and students to meet issues head on through the OFIC Diversity Forum and Diversity Grants.
OFIC is committed to partnering intently with donors who support independent higher education and want to help students in need through scholarships. We listen carefully to our donors’ interests and the difference they want to make for students.
Each and every privately funded scholarship program through OFIC is important and valued. Therefore, we seek to always understand the philanthropic goals of our donors and help them make a positive impact on students. As a result, we work diligently to ensure students, who meet eligibility criteria as preferred by the donors, can overcome obstacles to achieving their college degree.
OFIC Diversity Forum
OFIC’s Diversity Forum provides an opportunity for reflections, discussions, and actionable outcomes regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion. OFIC’s campuses, along with representatives from corporate Ohio, are encouraged to attend. During this event, OFIC highlights the Diversity Grants for campuses including recent grant recipients and upcoming grants.
OFIC Diversity Stories
OFIC strives to promote diversity and inclusivity and is able to achieve this mission with the help of generous donors funding Diversity Grants to our member campuses. OFIC Diversity Grants - Submissions Now Open!
Launched in 2007, OFIC’s Diversity Grants are designed to support successful existing programs or to launch new initiatives. The grants make it possible for OFIC students, campus leaders, and local community members to engage, enlighten and connect around topics of diversity, inclusion, access, and equity. Campuses apply for consideration and report outcomes at the next Diversity Forum.
