The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges Launches The OFIC Impact
New quarterly newsletter student success and workforce connections across Ohio
Westerville, Ohio — The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) has launched The OFIC Impact, a new quarterly publication designed to showcase how philanthropy and partnership-driven initiatives are supporting students, strengthening campuses, and connecting talent to opportunity across Ohio.
The OFIC Impact highlights student stories, scholarship outcomes, and program successes that demonstrate the real-world impact of donor and partner support. Each issue is guided by OFIC’s four strategic themes: Next-Level Philanthropy, Scholarship Growth & Impact, Talent for Ohio, and Evidence in Action.
“Our goal with The OFIC Impact is to clearly show how generosity turns into opportunity,” said Bill Spiker, OFIC President. “From scholarships to career connections, this publication brings our mission to life through the people and partnerships that make the work possible.”
The Winter 2026 inaugural edition features:
Student perspectives, including scholarship recipients whose educational paths have been shaped by donor support
Strategic plan highlights outlining OFIC’s focus on strengthening Ohio’s talent pipeline
Insights from OFIC leadership and board members
Updates on philanthropic growth, career partnerships, and workforce development efforts
The publication also emphasizes OFIC’s role in connecting independent colleges with Ohio employers, creating pathways from education to meaningful careers through internships, mentorships, and employment opportunities.
The OFIC Impact will be released quarterly and shared with donors, partners, campus leaders, and stakeholders statewide.
