Meet Aidan - Student Stories of Impact
One opportunity can change the direction of a student’s future.
Aidan Callahan, a sports management and marketing student at Walsh University, wasn’t familiar with OFIC at first. But through a donor-supported scholarship and internship opportunity, he stepped into a role with First Tee Canton, a youth development program that teaches golf alongside life skills like respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
What began as an internship quickly became more than experience. It became clarity about his future and confidence in his path forward.
Behind that opportunity was a network of support, including local partners like Employers Health and donors whose generosity made it possible for small organizations like First Tee to host interns and invest in students like Aidan.
For him, it was a chance to move from uncertainty into direction. For the organization, it was a chance to invest in the next generation.
In his words, “Keep doing what you’re doing. What you’re doing really does touch students like me.”
This is what happens when support meets potential. And it’s only one of the stories you’ll see in this series.
What you start, they continue.
