OFIC Launches Spark Series to Strengthen Connections Across Ohio’s Independent Colleges
Where ideas meet energy, things start to spark.
The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) has launched the Spark Series, a new set of purposeful gatherings designed to spark meaningful conversation, strengthen connections, and elevate the work of OFIC’s member colleges and universities and the students they serve.
The series brings together campus leaders, corporate partners, trustees, and community members to focus on shared priorities in higher education and workforce development, while creating space for authentic dialogue about opportunity, access, and impact.
The first Spark Series gathering welcomed participants from the Westerville community for a discussion on “The Independent Advantage.” The conversation highlighted the value of Ohio’s independent colleges and universities and the important role they play in preparing students for meaningful careers and community leadership.
A special thank you is extended to Dr. John Comerford, President of Otterbein University, for helping launch the conversation, along with OFIC trustees and community guests who contributed to an engaging and thoughtful discussion.
OFIC’s mission is built on a model of shared investment, including time with our community and corporate partners. It’s how education, community, and opportunity stay connected across generations. Learn more about why this work matters.
