Challenge Met: Thank You for Helping OFIC Secure Over $67,000 through the CIC Scholarship Challenge Grant

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors and partners, OFIC has exceeded the Matching Scholarship Challenge Grant from the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), unlocking receipt of their $25,000 grant. In response to the CIC challenge, $42,250 in qualifying new or increased funding was received. Through this effort, a total of $67,250 in new scholarship support was raised for students at OFIC's 30 member campuses across Ohio.

This milestone comes at a meaningful time, as OFIC wraps up the 75th Anniversary of its 1950 founding, celebrating seven-and-a-half decades of advancing independent higher education across Ohio. The challenge called for new gifts or increases to existing gifts, matched dollar for dollar, to provide essential support for second year students and beyond at OFIC's member colleges and universities.

"This matching grant empowered our philanthropic investors to provide essential financial support to Ohio's independent college students. With CIC’s help and the generous response from our donors, we have surpassed the goal which will help ensure a brighter future for our students and Ohio’s economy."
