OFIC Welcomes Katie Adkins as Manager of Scholarship Services

Seasoned higher education professional to specialize in program development, data analysis, and maximizing funding for OFIC member campuses and students

On September 25, 2025, the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) welcomed Katie Adkins as Manager of Scholarship Services. Adkins’ undergraduate experiences at Ohio Wesleyan University and graduate experience at Baldwin Wallace University have fueled her desire to work in higher education. She’s been involved as a student in different facets of campus life including academic affairs, admissions, community outreach, residential life, and alumni relations. Through her love for higher education and the development of others, she has guided hundreds of college students over the course of their academic journey and helped with their transition from being students to working professionals.

With over a decade of experience in the field, Adkins has focused on relationship building and creative thinking – all with a collaborative spirit which will allow her to thrive in working with students at OFIC. 

Through her graduate degree in Leadership in Higher Education at Baldwin Wallace University, she developed a skillset and passion for career development and student success and has spent the past 13 years recruiting and coaching students along their academic journey. For the last seven years she has served as a program and scholarship administrator at Baldwin Wallace University.

With her own educational roots in two OFIC campuses, Adkins is excited to be part of a team of dedicated professionals that are lifting the torch for Ohio’s independent higher education sector. Welcome, Katie!
