Meet Jalesha - Student Stories of Impact

One opportunity can change the direction of a student’s future.

Jalesha Goss, a recent graduate of Ohio Dominican University, is a Marine Corps veteran, a mother of two, and an OFIC scholarship recipient. Her path to graduation was anything but simple.

After losing the grandmother who raised her and facing serious health challenges, Jalesha made the decision to return to school while working and raising her daughters. At times, she was forced to choose between basic needs and school supplies, all while staying committed to building a better future for her family.

Receiving an OFIC scholarship funded by WesBanco gave her room to breathe. It reduced financial strain and allowed her to focus on her education, her goals, and what comes next.

For Jalesha, that support meant the ability to keep going when it mattered most. For donors, it’s a chance to make that kind of impact possible.

Her journey is a reminder of what happens when determination meets opportunity.

What you start, they continue.
