Event Recap: Non-Profit Internship Luncheon Celebrations
This July, OFIC celebrated another successful summer of non-profit internships with luncheon events in Stark County and Lorain County.
In Stark County, five non-profit leaders, interns, OFIC staff, and Employers Health representatives gathered to celebrate the program's second summer.
In Lorain County, seven non-profit leaders, interns, OFIC staff, and Nord Family Foundation representatives gathered at The Spitzer Center to mark the program's third summer.
From building a donor portal to running a food fundraiser to launching a small business marketplace, this year's interns took on real work that made a real impact. Read the full recap to see what they accomplished.
Event Recap: ICAA - Insider Innovations Conference
For the third consecutive summer, OFIC partnered with ICAA to host Insider Innovations, bringing together over 60 attendees, including more than 30 representatives from OFIC campuses and career services, for a day packed with fresh ideas and connection.
From a keynote by Leadership Ohio's Kevin Smith to specialized afternoon tracks and an ice cream sundae bar send-off, the day delivered plenty to talk about. Read the full recap below.
TalentedU: The Next Iteration AY 26-27 Is Now Live!
The TalentedU working group met again this summer to enhance OFIC's free online career-readiness platform. Thank you to representatives from Ashland University, Capital University, Denison University, and Tiffin University for their contributions.
The refreshed platform includes 8 NACE Career-Readiness Modules plus a new Bonus Financial Literacy Module developed with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, along with new content on job searching, interviewing, and navigating job offers, including salary negotiation.
New or haven't started yet? Start on AY 26-27. Have students already partway through AY 25-26? Finish it out before it sunsets September 30, 2026. Log in here, or reach out for a demo and encourage your students to take advantage of this free resource.
