The First Merchants Bank Economic Forecast - Recap
Capital University students, alumni, and leadership joined OFIC for an Economic Forecast breakfast hosted by donor partner First Merchants Bank. Dr. Michael J. Hicks shared 2026 projections and insights on Ohio’s economic outlook. The morning blended timely analysis with meaningful networking, giving attendees the chance to connect with industry partners and gain real-world perspective on regional growth and opportunity.
OFIC Insider Innovations - Recap
Faculty and staff from 10 OFIC member campuses came together at Ashland University for Insider Innovations: Human Connections, Digital Directions, a day focused on strengthening career pathways for students. Through innovative strategies to support international students, a hands-on workshop sponsored by 12twenty, and engaging conversations focused on career services, participants shared ideas, built new partnerships, and sparked momentum that will continue to benefit students across Ohio
Knowledge at Noon - Save the Date!
Join OFIC’s new Knowledge at Noon webinar series! These free 30–60 minute sessions are designed for campus professionals to build skills, gain insights, and connect with peers on topics like student support and career development.
First session: March 25, 12:00–12:30 PM. Discover tips to maximize Handshake and get an introduction to the Collections module, with practical strategies you can apply on your campus.
Non-Profit Summer Internships - Apply Now
Encourage students to apply before spring break for opportunities to improve their skills and grow their experience through summer internships.
Thanks to funding by our partners, the Nord Family Foundation and Employers Health, students have the chance to get hands-on experience, professional growth, and real-world skills, while helping non-profits access dedicated talent.
Now Hiring - Summer 2026 Data Review & Management Intern
Thanks to funding from the Ohio Department of Development, OFIC is offering a fully remote, paid summer internship to support our scholarship division. The intern will enter, review, and maintain scholarship application data in Salesforce, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and confidential.
Students need to apply directly through the Department of Development by February 28!
