Event Recap - OFIC Trustee Meeting and Awards Luncheon
On April 8, the OFIC Board, guests, students, scholarship donors, campus staff, and alumni honorees from Wilmington College and Ohio Northern University gathered in Columbus for the spring meeting and luncheon.
Highlights included student–donor connections, scholarship recognition, and a panel on “AI and the Human in the Room.”

Thank you to everyone who joined our recent lunch-and-learn session! A special thank-you to Abigayle Robinson and April Robles from Miami University for leading an engaging and informative conversation on the Handshake Experiences tool, including strategies for documenting experiences, aligning them with campus career goals, and using data to support student success.

Save the Date - OFIC Insider Innovations, July 28, 2026
OFIC is excited to partner again this summer with the Independent College Advancement Associates (ICAA) to offer a day of professional development on Tuesday, July 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Point at Otterbein University.
As always, the Insider Innovations day will offer attendees time to engage, network, and enjoy breakfast and lunch with colleagues and friends. This summer day of development will also feature fundraising insights, ideas, and practices to support career-related opportunities for students!
Sneak Peek - OFIC’s Career Community
We’re excited to share an early look at a new initiative from OFIC focused on strengthening connections between students and employers. As part of this effort, we are preparing to launch a new Career Community webpage in the coming months. This resource is a thoughtfully curated list of employers to help students search for internships and career entry opportunities.
We wanted to give you an early preview as we continue preparing for launch. We’ll share more details next month once the webpage is officially live.
