Welcome back to The OFIC Impact, a quarterly look at how The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) supports Ohio's independent college and university students, strengthens its 30 member campuses, and connects talent to opportunity, thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners.
This spring, you met Aidan, Jalesha, and Kristina, three students whose stories reflect the difference your generosity makes every day. Driving Impact Across Ohio
Next-Level Philanthropy: Giving & Gratitude
Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors and partners, OFIC has met the $25,000 Matching Scholarship Challenge Grant from the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), unlocking a total of $67,250 in new scholarship support for students at OFIC's 30 member campuses across Ohio.
Scholarship Growth & Impact: Supporting Students
Heaven, an OFIC scholar from Ashland University who spoke at the fall OFIC board meeting, is a reminder that every scholarship dollar is matched with a name, a story, and a future. Donor support turns possibility into progress for students across Ohio.
Talent for Ohio: Career Connections
OFIC congratulates the 12 students selected to intern with area non-profits across Lorain and Stark Counties this summer. Thanks to the generosity of Employers Health and the Nord Family Foundation, these students will gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact in their local communities.
Evidence in Action: Sharing Stories
A few weeks ago, we introduced “Stories of Impact,” a new series from OFIC highlighting the students, alumni, and donors connected through our scholarship programs.
